This seminar brings internationally respected canine fitness educator Bobbie Lyons to New Zealand for an in-depth, hands-on learning experience designed to support sound movement, durability, and long-term performance in sport and working dogs.

The seminar includes three full seminar days with working and auditing teams.

Bobbie will teach using the dogs entered in working spots as live demonstrations, allowing participants to see real assessments, movement analysis, and exercise application across a variety of dogs and needs.

Daily Structure

Day 1 – Posture & Foundational Movement

  • Whole-dog posture assessment
  • Identifying compensations and asymmetries
  • Understanding load patterns and structure
  • Establishing baselines before adding fitness work

Day 2 – Performance Conditioning

  • Translating posture findings into conditioning plans
  • Strength, stability, and efficient movement
  • Managing workload and fatigue
  • Adapting fitness work across sports and life stages

Day 3 – Shoulder Health & Injury Prevention

  • Common shoulder injuries in sport dogs
  • Risk factors linked to posture and training
  • Preventative strategies and targeted strengthening
  • Modifying training to protect vulnerable structures

Working & Auditing Options

Working Spots

Working spots are limited to 10–12 dogs per seminar day to ensure dog welfare, learning quality, and appropriate workload.

Available options:

  • 1-day working spot
  • 2-day working spot
  • 3-day working spot

Important:
Working spot scheduling is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. While we will do our best to accommodate preferred days, specific working days are not guaranteed. You will be contacted after purchase to confirm availability.

All working spot packages include:

  • Audit access for remaining seminar days
  • Working spots include a seminar T-shirt.

Auditing Spots

Auditors receive full access to all lectures, demonstrations, and discussions without working a dog.

Auditing options:

  • 1-day
  • 2-day
  • 3-day

Auditors may purchase a seminar T-shirt as an optional add-on. Auditors spot does not come with a T-shirt.

Working Dog Requirements

Working dogs must:

  • Be comfortable working for food
  • Be able to rest quietly in a vehicle or crate when not working
  • Be comfortable with a seminar environment

Only one working dog will be active in the building at a time.

Dogs unable to settle or disrupting the seminar may be asked to wait outside the venue. This is to ensure safety and learning quality for all participants.

Refund Policy

  • Full refunds available until October 1, 2026
  • After this date, refunds are not guaranteed due to international travel commitments
  • Working spot refunds after this date will only be issued if the spot can be filled

Registration Notes

  • Working spots are extremely limited
  • Auditing spots are not capped
  • This seminar runs over three full days (December 3–5, 2026). Private lessons take place on December 6 and are booked separately.
